Creating Sponge Painted Bunnies
Here’s how we’ll be creating our adorable sponge painted bunnies at Emmilou Daycare:
Materials Needed:
- White paper
- Washable paint (various colors)
- Sponges or paintbrushes
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions:
- Start by cutting out bunny shapes from the white paper. You can either pre-cut the shapes or let the children practice their scissor skills by cutting out their own bunnies.
- Pour small amounts of washable paint into separate containers, ensuring there’s enough space for dipping sponges or paintbrushes.
- Let the children dip their sponges or paintbrushes into the paint and then press them onto the bunny shapes to create colorful patterns and designs. Encourage experimentation with different colors and techniques, such as dabbing, swirling, or stippling.
- Let it dry to see an incredible art.
